Emergency Appeal – Kashmir Earthquake
A large earthquake struck Kashmir on Tuesday 24th September. It’s epicenter was areas surrounding Mirpur & Jatlan in Kashmir, close to Jhelum in Pakistan. The area has suffered many tremors and after shocks since.
The earthquake has resulted in many deaths, widespread injuries, damage or destruction of all buildings, roads and infrastructure.
These are areas where the majority of WFIA members and namazees originate from, and still have family ties with. Friends, family, neighbours have all been affected.
WFIA has launched an emergency appeal to help the victims of the earthquake.
